Kimberly Ward founded Kimberly and Cameron Interiors in 2002 working for members of the newly formed Houston Texan franchise. Over the next five years, she would become the go-to interior designer for players, coaches, and executives within the organization. She later expanded her reach to include players from other NFL teams including the New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, Tennessee Titans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kimberly has designed multiple homes for over 90% of her clients establishing decade-long relationships that have sustained her throughout her career.
From the very beginning, she understood the need to share information about creating a happy, healthy home with as many people as possible. In 2004, she became the home and lifestyle contributor for Gospel Today magazine. During her four-year tenure, Kimberly wrote monthly interior design columns for the lifestyle publication.
In 2008, Kimberly left Gospel today and became the editor in chief of the interior design blog Pink Eggshell. Pink Eggshell was Kimberly's first attempt at sharing design information in the fast-paced digital space. In 2011, after winning awards for her blog, Kimberly started attending blogging and interior design events. When she noticed that she was getting the same questions no matter where she was or the dynamics of the group, of "Where are all the black designers?" Kimberly decided to publish a list of the Top 20 African American Interior Designers with the hopes of creating a resource for those seeking to work with or for black interior designers.
Kimberly was featured in various magazines and was the on-air design talent for several HGTV episodes of the show "Design Wars."
